Be Denton has practiced law since 1988 and became a certified mediator in 2019. Prior to becoming a full-time mediator with The Mediation Group, Be litigated thousands of civil matters, primarily in the area of insurance defense, which included wrongful death, auto accidents, trucking accidents, real estate, construction, defamation, premises liability, contract disputes, and insurance coverage disputes. She has developed a passion for being a conduit for parties to resolve matters in an amicable manner.
Be is a 1985 graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and received her J.D. degree from Indiana University McKinney Law School in 1988. After graduating from law school, Be began practicing in Indianapolis. Her practice was in civil litigation with a focus primarily in insurance defense in both first and third-party insurance matters. Be is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for Northern and Southern Indiana.
Be was born and raised in Indianapolis. She helped start the Zionsville Farmers Market and has also been involved with Child Advocates and the Junior League of Indianapolis. She is an avid runner, completing many marathons, including twice running the Boston Marathon, as well as Pike’s Peak and the Grand Canyon. She has also completed the HUFF (Huntington Ultimate Frigid Fifty) and also the world’s largest running relay, Hood to Coast, which begins its 199 miles of running on Mount Hood and ends on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean. She enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring the trails of northern Michigan with her husband, Rusty, and their dogs, Luke and Gus.
