Lonnie D. Johnson, a Partner at Clendening Johnson & Bohrer, P.C., focuses his practice in the areas of commercial and business litigation, construction law and litigation, professional liability and insurance defense law. Mr. Johnson has extensive complex litigation experience in both State and Federal courts bringing preeminent experts and extensive documentary evidence to verdict, and he has tried several high-stakes bench and jury trials involving business disputes as well as tort claims. His handling of numerous complex litigation matters has provided him and his trial team with proficiency in conducting and managing electronic discovery and administration of voluminous documentary evidence in complex cases. He is also a Registered Mediator.

Mr. Johnson is consistently designated as an Indiana Super Lawyer (2008 – 2019) and selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® (2012-2019). He is also a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America. Mr. Johnson is a Past President (2012) and Section leader of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, as well as a Past-Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association Litigation Section (2009-2010). He also active in the Defense Research Institute, the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA), and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC). Mr. Johnson also has been named an America’s Top 100 Attorneys and America’s Top 100 Civil Litigators. Mr. Johnson has 20 recorded court opinions to his credit and has authored 34 articles on civil litigation and is a frequent speaker at seminars. Additionally, he serves as faculty for the North Central Regional Trial Academy. He also has been honored with the Indiana State Bar Association Civility Award and the DRI Exceptional Performance Citation Award.

Mr. Johnson, an Indiana native, is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University and received a B.A. Honors Degree with Highest Distinction. Mr. Johnson earned his J.D. with Honors from the Indiana University Mauer School of Law.
