Bob began his practice in 1985 with the firm of Bingham Summers Welsh & Spilman practicing insurance defense, including the defense of professional liability (medical, legal and other), construction site injury, products liability, motor vehicle (car and truck), and premises liability claims. He joined the firm of Mitchell Hurst Jacobs & Dick in 1991, leaving the partnership in 2004. His practice included the prosecution of motor vehicle (car and truck), professional liability (medical malpractice), products liability, including mass tort litigation, and construction suite injury claims. He was Board Certified by the National Board of Trail Advocacy in 1994 and recertified thereafter until he left the trial practice.
Bob’s practice since 2004 has included serving as the chairman of medical review panels and as a mediator. He has presented at many seminars addressing medical malpractice (including as a panel chairman) and general tort litigation. He will continue serving as a medical review panel chairman through his private practice while serving as a mediator through The Mediation Group.
Bob is a 1985 graduate of the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1982.
Bob has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyer at various times over the years in both plaintiffs’ personal injury and in alternative dispute resolution.
